I am Dr. Jesús Almanza Medical Doctor and Military Psychiatrist , I treat patients with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, schizophrenia, ADHD, bipolar disorder, addictions (alcohol-drugs-game-technology) in adults and children; As Liaison Psychiatrist and Psycho-Oncologist (trained in New York and Boston USA), I attend to the emotional aspects of cancer, diabetes, postpartum depression, fibromyalgia, obesity, heart disease, COVID-19 and other serious medical-surgical conditions; and as a Psychotherapist, I support those who experience a relationship, family and work crisis, with special attention to family violence and the timely detection and treatment of complex post-traumatic stress disorder.
My work as a Psychiatrist, Psychotherapist and Agent Mental Health , I carry it out through a careful face-to-face or remote clinical review, an individual and family approach, without neglecting the social and spiritual. He used individual psychotherapy, psychological techniques and in special cases he prescribed psychiatric medications with great care and ethics, and if necessary brief hospitalization; all with humanism, compassion and responsibility for the care of my patients. In addition to my clinical work, I have carried out prevention and public mental health activities (suicide, addictions and family violence among others).
I consider that in addition to a careful and science-based clinical approach in the care of my patients, it is also essential to consider the humanistic and spiritual aspects, seeking not only their clinical improvement, but also promoting their human development and personal growth.
In the academic field, I have published more than 100 scientific articles, in the following Research Lines: Post-traumatic stress; Postpartum depression; suicide; psychotherapy in breast cancer, burnout syndrome, spirituality in medicine and anxiety and stress in COVID-19, among others.
